Gombe State Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya mourns the passing of Alhaji Ali Jijji, a renowned community leader, seasoned politician, and business entrepreneur, who died on Saturday after a sudden illness.
The governor, in a condolence message released by his Director-General of Press Affairs, Isma’il Uba Misilli, described the deceased Jijji as a dedicated statesman whose contributions to the progress and advancement of Gombe State should never be forgotten.
Yahaya highlighted Jijji’s impactful service during his tenure at Ashaka Cement and as the District Head of Gadam in Kwami Local Government Area, praising his unwavering commitment to his people’s welfare.
We learned with utmost sorrow about the passing away of our dear brother, Alhaji Ali Jijji. His passing is a gigantic loss not only to his family and people but to all of Gombe State,” the governor added.
He wished for the soul’s eternal peace of the deceased leader and mercy of Allah, expressing his deepest sympathy to the deceased’s family, friends, and colleagues.
May Allah Almighty (SWT) pardon his shortcomings, accept his acts of virtue, and grant him Aljannat Firdaus,” the release ended.
