Nollywood actress Peggy Ovire, wife to Nollywood actor Frederick Leonard, has broken her silence on a heated clash with fellow actor Taye Arimoro, claiming he physically assaulted two crew members during a late-night film shoot.
In a series of Instagram posts, Peggy detailed what she says really happened that night, accusing Taye of using violence against workers who simply asked him to finish two short scenes before wrapping.
“Taye, you beat up two crew members simply because you felt they had no voice, no social media presence, no one to speak for them,” Peggy wrote.

“They were only begging you to please complete two short scenes so we could wrap for the night.”
She claims Taye then went live on social media to record the crew’s reaction while conveniently leaving out the part where the violence began.
According to Peggy, Taye arrived on set around noon but decided to leave without notice when filming stretched into the night.
She says things were fine between them until she asked him to shoot one more quick scene before he recorded his behind-the-scenes content.
“You reacted sharply when I tried to talk to you, so I decided to give you space,” she explained.
“Later, when the Production Manager approached you to appeal for more time, you got physical with him.
You punched him three times, and he was already on the floor before the driver came out.”
Peggy claims Taye drove off while she was still beside the car, and her driver was later found bleeding from the ear after being struck multiple times by the actor.
The actress says she’s speaking out not from anger but to “set the record straight” and defend crew members she believes were unfairly treated and silenced.
Taye Arimoro has not publicly responded to these specific allegations.
