Nigerian music legend 2Baba has finally addressed swirling rumors about his no-show at a London concert on October 2, 2025, setting the record straight about what really happened.
The “African Queen” hitmaker took to social media after gossip blogger Tosin Silverdam claimed he’d been arrested following an alleged domestic incident with his wife, Natasha Osawaru.
The rumors spread like wildfire when disappointed fans walked out of the venue after he failed to appear.
In a video posted with Natasha and friends by his side, a visibly relaxed 2Baba laughed off the allegations while his crew joked about the “allegedly” claims making rounds online.
“First of all, I want to say everyone that came out, I appreciate you. We had a medical emergency, it was tough,” the singer explained.
“To the organizers and everyone that came out, we go regroup and make something beautiful happen. And please, if una no sabi something, make una no talk abeg. This allegedly, I don tire.”
The speculation had gained momentum partly because of increased public interest in 2Baba’s personal life since his traditional wedding to Natasha on July 25, 2025.
The Edo State Deputy Majority Leader had recently penned a touching birthday tribute to the music icon, calling him “the anthem of love, the melody of hope” as he turned 50 on September 18.
Fans have expressed relief seeing 2Baba healthy and united with his wife, while the singer promised to make up for the missed show to his UK supporters.
