Nollywood actress Adesua Etomi-Wellington nearly lost her life in June during a medical emergency that ended in unplanned surgery.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, the actress opened up about the terrifying ordeal that happened while she was in the UK with her husband, singer Banky W, and their two sons.
What began as a health scare quickly spiraled into something far more serious.
“I could have lost my life in June,” she wrote. “What I went through was horrific and ended with an unplanned surgery, and strangely, the surgery itself was the least dramatic part of it all.”
The Sugar Rush star was in the UK for two speaking engagements when the crisis hit. Looking back, she believes she’s only alive because of divine timing.
“If even one single detail had been different, I wouldn’t be here today. When I think about it, I shudder,” she said.
The experience changed her. Adesua says her faith is stronger now, and she sees life differently. “There’s nothing anyone can tell me, God is real,” she wrote.
Calling it her “second chance at life,” she encouraged her followers not to waste time on negativity.
“Let’s choose to be softer, kinder, gentler, forgiving, patient, loving, and peaceful,” she urged. “I’ll never take another day for granted, neither should you”, she captions her post.
