Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed chose humility over fanfare as he marked his 67th birthday on Monday, using the occasion to seek forgiveness and recommit himself to serving the state.
In a reflective post on his social media page, the governor thanked God for His mercy and described the day as one for quiet gratitude rather than celebration.
“I humbly seek forgiveness from anyone I may have wronged, knowingly or unknowingly,” Mohammed wrote, stressing his commitment to leading with fairness, equity, and responsibility.
The governor acknowledged that leadership comes with tough choices and nobody gets everything right, but insisted his work has always been driven by genuine service to the people of Bauchi.
Looking ahead, Mohammed doubled down on his promise to transform the state.
“My resolve remains unshaken: I will leave Bauchi better than I met it,” he said, pointing to ongoing improvements in education, healthcare, and infrastructure.
He also thanked everyone who sent birthday wishes and prayers, calling their support “deeply humbling.”
