Two brothers who spent months fighting extradition have finally been brought back to South Africa to face murder charges in the killing of beloved rapper Kiernan “AKA” Forbes.
Siyabonga and Malusi Ndimande were handed over by Eswatini authorities after their legal attempts to avoid extradition failed.
They’re now facing serious charges in one of South Africa’s most high-profile murder cases.
In 2023, the award-winning hip-hop star was shot and killed outside a Durban restaurant alongside his close friend, celebrity chef Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane.
The double murder sent shockwaves through South Africa and triggered a massive investigation.
The Ndimande brothers join five other suspects already behind bars. Together, they’re facing charges for both murders, as well as attempted murder and illegal firearm possession.
On Tuesday, November 11, the brothers landed at Durban’s King Shaka International Airport in handcuffs, both wrists and ankles bound, surrounded by heavily armed police officers.
As the trial date approaches, South Africans are watching closely, hoping for justice for AKA and Tibz.
