Nigerian gospel artist and pastor, Nathaniel Bassey, has opened up about the extraordinary way he met his wife, crediting divine intervention and unwavering faith for bringing them together.
The celebrated pastor and minstrel shared that his path to marriage was shaped by trust, patience, and consistent prayer, proof that waiting for God’s timing yields the most fulfilling results.
Pastor Nathaniel explained that his wife participated in a month-long fast at her church called “Two Is Better Than One.”
During the fast, she felt a strong conviction that he was meant to be her husband.
But rather than acting immediately, she asked God for a clear sign to confirm this leading.
The confirmation came during a church service in an unexpected moment.
While reading from Isaiah 64, the pastor accidentally mentioned Pastor Nathaniel’s name twice.
What appeared to be a simple mistake became the divine sign she had been praying for.
“That moment gave her complete assurance,” Pastor Nathaniel shared, adding that their relationship soon developed into marriage.
Looking back on their journey, the gospel minister encouraged believers to trust God’s guidance in all aspects of life, particularly relationships.
He noted that combining prayer, patience, and spiritual awareness opens doors to blessings beyond what we can plan ourselves.
