Kim Kardashian Reveals Co-Parenting Struggles with Kanye West: “I Raise the Kids Full-Time”

Kim Kardashian is speaking out about the real challenges of co-parenting with her ex-husband, Kanye West.

During a recent appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast, the 44-year-old mom of four opened up about raising North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm with the rapper following their 2021 divorce.

When host Alex Cooper asked about co-parenting with Ye, Kim didn’t sugarcoat it. “It’s not easy. But I mean, I raise the kids full-time.

They live with me. I welcome a great, healthy relationship between my kids and their dad, and I think he knows that.”

Kim explained she constantly encourages her children’s bond with their father while stepping in to protect them when necessary.

“I push for it all the time, but I also protect them when it’s time for that. It goes in waves and phases, and it’s a lot of work.”

When asked about Ye’s last visit with the kids, Kim revealed it’s been a while. “Whenever he’ll call for them and ask. It’s probably been a couple of months since we’ve heard from him.”

She said the children understand their dad’s demanding lifestyle keeps him traveling.

“They always knew he had a big life, traveling around the world, living in different countries, and we managed it really well.

They love their life, their routine, and their schedule. My job as their mom is to make sure they stick to that and stay healthy and happy.”

Kim pushed back hard against claims she keeps the children from their father. “The one thing that gets me is this narrative that I keep the kids from him. I’ve never once done that.

There have been so many times where I’ve begged him to hang out with them. Then I wake up to tweets saying I’ve kidnapped the kids, and I’m like, it’s not kidnapping, it’s a divorce. We can still all be in each other’s lives.”

While Kim says she’s always open to visits, she sets boundaries when situations feel unhealthy. “I’ll say, ‘Let’s do it here at my house,’ or ‘Let’s figure out a different time.’

But when he’s in that space, he often doesn’t want to see the kids anyway. It always kind of works itself out.”

She stressed that she’s never denied the children visits to Saudi Arabia, Japan, or anywhere else Ye has asked to see them.

“I’ve never once denied it. That narrative really sucks for me. I could show the texts and receipts, but I’m not the girl who’s going to fight online.”

Kim wrapped up by saying she prioritizes keeping things peaceful for her kids, despite the public narrative being far from reality.
