NDA Opens Online Registration for 78th Regular Course

The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) has officially opened its online application portal for admission into the 78th Regular Course (78RC), giving eligible young Nigerians the opportunity to begin their journey toward becoming military officers.

According to a statement from the Academy’s Registrar, the application window opens on Friday, November 28, 2025, and will close on April 30, 2026.

Entry Requirements

The NDA outlined several mandatory criteria for applicants:

Citizenship and status: Applicants must be Nigerian by birth, single, and without legal dependents.

Age: Candidates must be between 17 and 21 years old at the time of entry into the Academy.

Education: A minimum of five O-Level credits (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, GCE, or NBAIS) in not more than two sittings, including English Language and Mathematics, plus three relevant subjects.

UTME requirement: Candidates must have sat for the most recent UTME, selected NDA Kaduna as their first choice, and met the minimum national cut-off mark.

Physical standards: Minimum height is 1.68m for males and 1.65m for females. All applicants must be medically fit and of good moral character.

Additional documents: A Certificate of Indigeneship from their state or local government is required.

The Academy warned that applicants who submit incomplete or invalid O-Level results  including those awaiting results  will be automatically disqualified.

How to Apply

  1. Visit the official portal: www.ndaapplications.net

  2. Click “Purchase Access Code,” generate an Order ID and a REMITA Retrieval Reference (RRR), and pay the ₦7,000 application fee through the platform.

  3. Fill out the online form with accurate personal information, academic records, and required documents such as passport photo, O-Level certificate, and indigeneship certificate.

  4. Submit the form before April 30, 2026, and print the Acknowledgement Slip and any screening or admission cards.

  5. Shortlisted candidates will sit for a screening examination, followed by the Armed Forces Selection Board (AFSB) interview and physical fitness assessments.
