Nkechi Blessing Dunks ₦3M iPhone 17 Pro Max in Water After Being Called Out Online

Nkechi Blessing

Social media exploded this week when Nkechi Blessing, a dedicated Apple fan, dropped her brand-new iPhone 17 Pro Max into water to shut down critics questioning if her phone was real.

The video shows her confidently dunking the ₦3 million device after people accused her of showing off a fake or refurbished model.

Seconds later, she pulled it out, proved it was still working, and announced, “I only buy from authorised Apple sources.”

The stunt split the internet down the middle. Some viewers cheered her on for backing up her claims with action. Others thought it was completely over the top.

“This is not proof, it’s performance,” one person wrote. “She just dunked a three-million-naira phone to prove something nobody asked for.”

Her video kicked off a bigger conversation about how far people will go to prove their expensive purchases are legit.

Some commenters pointed out that tech companies in China and India test devices properly in labs, not through social media stunts for likes.

Here’s the twist: Nkechi admitted in the same video that she barely uses the iPhone 17 Pro Max, keeping it mainly for “content purposes.”
