PalmPay has unveiled Purple December, a month-long digital campaign aimed at celebrating and rewarding its growing community of users across Nigeria as the year draws to a close.
Running from December 1 to December 26, the festive campaign invites PalmPay users to take part in simple weekly challenges on social media for a chance to win exciting prizes. These include smartphones, earbuds, airtime and data bundles, as well as PalmPay-branded gift items. Four winners are expected to emerge every week as activities roll out on the company’s social media platforms.
Speaking on the initiative, PalmPay’s Head of Marketing and Communications, Olorunfemi Hanson, described Purple December as a way of appreciating customer loyalty while amplifying the everyday stories of Nigerians who rely on the platform for their financial needs.
“Purple December is our way of saying thank you to the millions of people who trust PalmPay for their daily payments,” Hanson said. “This year’s campaign is fully digital, designed to connect with our users where they already spend time on social media and in online communities where they share, celebrate and connect.”
He explained that the campaign also serves as a reflection on the moments and experiences that shaped PalmPay’s journey in 2025. Participants will engage in activities that highlight the brand’s impact, from ease of transactions and user experiences to corporate social responsibility efforts and international recognitions recorded throughout the year.
The campaign will wrap up with a Christmas-themed challenge, where users are encouraged to create and submit short videos using the hashtag #PalmPayPurpleDecember. The most engaging entries stand a chance to win major prizes, including an iPhone.
Hanson added that the initiative reinforces PalmPay’s focus on building a strong, community-driven digital ecosystem.
“Every year, Nigerians tell us how PalmPay helps them save more, spend smarter and support their hustle. Purple December gives us the opportunity to celebrate those stories openly,” he said.
The Purple December campaign is currently live across PalmPay’s digital platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X (formerly Twitter), YouTube and LinkedIn, with users encouraged to follow weekly prompts and participate for a chance to win.
