Pastor Adeboye to FG: Deal With Terrorists Now Before America Steps In

Pastor Adeboye

Pastor E.A. Adeboye isn’t mincing words. The RCCG General Overseer has delivered a blunt message to the Nigerian government: crush the terrorists and their sponsors immediately, before the United States does it for you.

Speaking at Friday’s November Holy Ghost Service, he weighed in on the escalating security crisis and former US President Donald Trump‘s recent threats of military intervention in Nigeria.

The respected cleric told President Bola Tinubu to give Nigeria’s newly appointed service chiefs a hard deadline: three months to wipe out terrorists and everyone funding them. If they fail? They should resign.

“This is not the time for apportioning blame. Our President inherited this problem; it started before him,” Pastor Adeboye acknowledged, recognizing that the insecurity predates Tinubu’s administration.

This isn’t the first time the General Overseer has made such a demand. He revealed that he gave similar advice during Muhammadu Buhari’s presidency when Boko Haram attacks were spiraling out of control.

“Some of you will remember who called the service chiefs together and said, ‘I give you three months, get rid of all these Boko Haram people or resign.’

He acted on that advice, but three months passed, and the work was not done,” he recalled.

The difference this time? Pastor Adeboye wants the government to go after the real problem, not just the foot soldiers, but the people bankrolling them.

“When giving orders to the service chiefs this time, we should make it clear that they are to eliminate the terrorists and their sponsors, no matter how influential they may be,” he emphasized.

Dor years, there’s been widespread suspicion that some powerful Nigerians, politicians, businesspeople, maybe even security officials, have ties to terrorist groups.

Pastor Adeboye is essentially saying: go after everyone involved, regardless of their connections.
