British YouTuber and BMX star Ryan Taylor has finally spoken out about his failed engagement to Nigerian billionaire heiress DJ Cuppy, sharing candid insights into what went wrong.
Speaking on the Ladders Podcast, the 32-year-old opened up about his whirlwind romance with Florence Otedola, better known as DJ Cuppy, which ended months after their December 2022 engagement.
Taylor, who proposed after dating for less than a month, admitted that unresolved differences slowly drove them apart.
He claimed one major issue was Cuppy’s reluctance to work with Nigerians professionally, which created tension between them.
“She came into my business and didn’t even want Nigerian staff,” Taylor revealed during the interview.
Despite how things ended, Taylor says he harbors no hard feelings. With no contracts or NDAs binding them, he walked away focused on the lessons learned rather than dwelling on regrets.
“Everything happens for a reason. Do I regret it? No. Lesson learned. Next!” he said. “I learned that money isn’t everything, but not having it is.”
The couple’s engagement made waves in late 2022 after they reportedly met at the Gumball 3000 rally.
By mid-2023, fans noticed they’d unfollowed each other on Instagram, confirming what many had suspected, the relationship was over.
