Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan isn’t letting anyone forget her comeback story, and she made sure to remind her detractors on Thursday night.
Hours after Senate President Godswill Akpabio publicly read her invitation letter during plenary, the Kogi Central Senator took to Instagram with a not-so-subtle message for her “enemies.”
During the October 30 session, Akpabio announced Natasha’s upcoming celebration marking two years in the Senate.
The moment raised eyebrows across Nigerian social media, considering the frosty relationship between the two lawmakers.
The duo have been at loggerheads since February following a heated confrontation over Senate seating arrangements, a dispute that escalated into a court case.
So when Akpabio read her letter aloud, many wondered if they’d buried the hatchet.
Natasha quickly cleared up any confusion. She posted a video of Akpabio reading her invitation with a pointed caption reminding critics that he was doing so in the very chambers where he once allegedly vowed she’d never set foot again.
When a follower urged her in the comments not to “remove her leg from the neck of her enemies”, a Nigerian expression meaning to keep the pressure on her opponents, Natasha enthusiastically agreed.
