Shettima Visits Kebbi on Tinubu’s Orders, Meets Families of Abducted Schoolgirls

Vice President Kashim Shettima has left Abuja for Kebbi State, following the directive of President Bola Tinubu to hold meetings with state officials and families of the schoolgirls abducted from Government Girls Secondary School, Maga, in Danko-Wasagu Local Government Area.

During the visit, Shettima is slated to hold discussions with Governor Nasiru Idris, traditional rulers, security chiefs, and the parents of the kidnapped students. The Vice President is also conveying the message of President Tinubu, to reassure the people of Kebbi that the Federal Government is doing everything possible to ensure the speedy and safe return of the girls.

He will also express the President’s condolences regarding the recent security incidents and reassure the administration’s commitment to securing schools and other vulnerable institutions across the country.

Accompanying Shettima are the APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda; Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Dr. Bernard Doro; Minister of Women Affairs, Hon. Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim; and the Director-General of the National Emergency Management Agency, Hajiya Zubaida Umar.
