President Bola Tinubu has extended warm felicitations to the Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr. Olanipekun Olukoyede, on his birthday anniversary celebrated on October 14.
The President, in a statement made available to him by his spokesman, Bayo Onanuga, commended Olukoyede’s professionalism, bravery, and commitment to leading the EFCC toward fulfilling its mandate to combat economic and financial crimes.
Tinubu commended the EFCC chairman for his devotion to openness in governance and for his initiative to revolutionize Nigeria’s anti-corruption bodies.
He particularly thanked Olukoyede for establishing the Special Task Force on Currency Offences, with the aim of stopping naira abuse and fighting dollarization of the economy. The President also identified the new strategic plan of the commission in the fight against cybercrime and economic sabotage.
President Tinubu prayed that Almighty God would keep guiding and strengthening Olukoyede in his battle to free Nigeria from the economic nightmares that have long hindered national development.
