Verydarkman Promises to Crash Nigeria’s Gadget Prices After China Trip

Verydarkman is making waves again, this time promising to shake up Nigeria’s gadget market after his trip to China.

In a video that’s gone viral, the social media activist called out Nigerian gadget dealers for ripping off customers with crazy markups.

He claims many sellers buy products cheap from China but resell them at five times the original price back home.

“A lot of una wey dey for gadget business, make una just dey pray,” he warned. “Power bank of ₦36,000 for Nigeria na ₦6,000 for here. Original charger wey dem dey sell ₦15,000, na just ₦1,200 for China.”

He also went after the whole “Chinese products are fake” narrative, pointing out that most “UK-used” phones sold in Nigeria actually come from China anyway.

He questioned how dealers claim to import massive quantities of used phones from the UK when the country has a smaller population and tighter trade rules.

Verydarkman accused retailers of hiding behind fancy branding and lies to justify their massive markups.

“Una don milk Nigerians too much,” he said. “This exploitation must stop. Once I return, gadgets go cheap.”

His comments have Nigerians talking. Many agree that electronics are ridiculously overpriced, though some doubt he can actually change anything in a market weighed down by import duties, taxes, and shipping costs.
