A Nigerian man has sparked intense online debate after claiming he knows the truth behind the ongoing speculation involving popular preacher Apostle Joshua Selman and a woman named Sandra Areh, and says most people talking about it have no idea what really happened.
The statement came from an X (formerly Twitter) user @ThisIsYamai, whose post quickly went viral as discussions about the preacher continue dominating social media.
According to @ThisIsYamai, his knowledge of the situation goes back to Zaria in Kaduna State, long before Apostle Selman became the widely recognized figure he is today.
He suggested that much of what’s circulating online is either incomplete or outright wrong.
His message to social media commentators? You’re speculating without the full picture.
What caught attention most was his observation that people who were actually there, who witnessed events firsthand in Zaria, have deliberately stayed silent despite the growing noise online.
He hinted that if these people ever decide to speak up, their version of events could completely upend what the public currently believes, especially for those who only know the apostle through his sermons or social media presence.
Here’s what he wrote:
“What I really like the most about these long talks about Apostle Joshua Selman and Sandra is how those of us who really know the inside story way back from Zaria are not even talking.
You people just met Selman so keep talking and saying what you don’t know.
The day Zaria sisters will on ring light and start spilling, Abuja people and those of you who met him only online and on pulpit will be shocked. For now, keep yapping.”
Despite his cryptic revelations, @ThisIsYamai expressed respect for those who’ve chosen not to share what they know, even as pressure mounts and speculation runs wild.
His post has only added fuel to the fire, with thousands reacting and demanding more details while others caution against spreading unverified claims about a religious leader.
Whether anyone from the “Zaria days” will actually come forward remains to be seen.
For now, the post has done exactly what provocative social media statements do best, kept people talking, guessing, and waiting for answers that may or may not ever come.
