Natasha Osawaru is having quite the year. Just weeks after marrying Afrobeats superstar 2Baba in a ceremony that had everyone talking, the Edo State politician has snagged a major recognition.
At the 2025 National Leadership Awards held in Abuja’s swanky Nigerian Merit House, Natasha walked away with the Best Legislator Award.
Not bad for someone who’s been juggling newlywed life with representing the Egor Constituency in Edo State’s House of Assembly.
The award recognized her work on issues close to many Nigerians’ hearts – helping women get ahead, improving education and healthcare, and creating opportunities for young people.
Natasha didn’t keep the spotlight to herself, though. Taking to social media, she made sure to share the credit with the people who put her in office.
“I am deeply honoured to receive the Best Legislator Award,” she wrote. “This recognition is for the people of Egor Constituency, Edo State, whose trust drives my commitment to women empowerment, education, healthcare, and youth development. Together, we rise!”
Social media has been buzzing with speculation about everything from her political moves to whispers that she might be expecting her first child.
