Nigerian sensation Omah Lay has achieved a major milestone as his debut album “Boy Alone” receives Gold certification in France, marking a significant international breakthrough for the Afrobeats artist.
The album, which first dropped in 2022, earned its prestigious Gold status from France’s National Syndicate of Phonographic Publishing (SNEP) after exceeding 50,000 sales.
This certification counts both traditional purchases and streaming performance, with 10 million streams contributing toward the achievement.
Omah Lay first captured global attention with hit singles like “Soso,” “Attention,” and “Understand,” building on the success of his earlier EPs “Get Layd” and “What Have We Done.”
His distinctive sound and emotional lyrics have helped him carve out a unique space in the competitive international music landscape.
