The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) on Thursday sealed off its national secretariat at 40, Blantyre Street, Wuse 2 Abuja.
In a memo of 10th April, 2025 by the party’s Deputy Director of Administration, Ubagba Abel, the shut-down was intended in mourning of the death of the party’s Director Of Administration, Hon. Lateef AbdulRaif Adeniji. The administration of the party had purportedly taken Adeniji some two months prior in Abuja, and was purportedly carried out in spite of the payment of N50 million ransom money for his release.
The memo titled: ‘Secretariat closure for the mourning of the director of administration’, ordered all the staff to utilize the mourning period to engage in sober reflection and prayers for the family and the loved ones.
The National Secretary has approved the National secretariat’s closure from all party/work activities effective immediately through Monday 14th April 2025.
