Bauchi ACReSAL Project Begins Bidding for 40 Tractors to Boost Agriculture

Bauchi State Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes (ACReSAL) Project has commenced the procurement process of 40 tractors to enhance agriculture productivity and resilience in the state.

Commissioner for Housing and Environment and Chairman, State Steering Committee of ACReSAL, Hon. Danlami Ahmed Kawule, presided over the bidding exercise, which was conducted yesterday at the Conference Hall of the State Project Management Unit.

Kawule commended the transparency of the exercise, stating that the procurement would actually boost food production and the state’s agricultural resilience.

Welcoming contractors and stakeholders to the exercise, the State Project Coordinator, Dr. Ibrahim Kabir, indicated that the exercise was being conducted in strict compliance with World Bank procurement guidelines. He called for participants to maintain transparency and ensure the project’s success.

Dr. Kabir also acknowledged the presence of dignitaries like the Commissioner for Environment, AGILE Project Coordinator, and the Director-General of BASEPA, who were there as witnesses to the process.
