Chef Jayne’s Cookathon Fest Set to Feed 5,000 in Abuja

Renowned Abuja-based chef, Chef Jayne, is set to host a groundbreaking culinary event, “Chef Jayne’s Cookathon Fest,” where she will feed over 5,000 people in a celebration of Nigerian cuisine and culture.  The two-day food festival, open to all residents of Abuja, will kick off on Thursday and conclude on Friday. Speaking at a pre-event press briefing in Abuja on Monday, Chef Jayne revealed that the event will showcase over 70 different meals from various regions in Nigeria, along with select African dishes, highlighting the country’s unique flavors and culinary traditions.

According to Chef Jayne, the initiative aims to preserve Nigeria’s cultural heritage and foster community engagement through food. She emphasized that the festival presents an opportunity for sponsors and partners to enhance their brand visibility while supporting a meaningful cultural initiative. With an expected publicity reach of 500,000 to five million people, the event is poised to make a significant impact.

Under the theme “Taste of Naija Vibes,” the Cookathon Fest will immerse attendees in a gastronomic experience, celebrating Nigeria’s rich culinary diversity. When asked if the event was aimed at breaking any records, Chef Jayne stated that its primary focus is to promote unity and connectivity through food.

She assured the public that security measures have been put in place, with the police, government agencies, and relevant stakeholders engaged to ensure crowd control and a smooth event.
