A lady who was close to late Nigerian entrepreneur Ifesinachi Onyekere, popularly known as Fish Magnet, has disclosed the tragic circumstances of their last interaction prior to his sudden death following a horrific kidnap.
At her estimation, Fish Magnet called her on Saturday evening, July 26, and they spoke until approximately 9:00 p.m. Less than 24 hours later, he was abducted and shot by individuals unknown. His abductors demanded a ₦10 million ransom within only 20 minutes.
She revealed that his mother, in a bid to ransom him, managed to get the ransom money and sent the money to the kidnappers. The family was summoned by Monday morning to come and collect him from St. Matthew Catholic Church. He was found lying by the roadside in critical condition.
Despite being rushed to the hospital, Fish Magnet succumbed to the injuries.
Calling him “the most humble man” she had ever encountered, the woman described how they worked together to build his brand and how he was so passionate about his dreams and future. His untimely death has sent shockwaves in the community and among his fans who admired his entrepreneurial enthusiasm and dedication.
