UK-based Nigerian comedian KlintonCod has set social media abuzz with a bold and cheeky suggestion for Nigeria’s 2027 presidential race.
In a playful post on X, he pitched an unlikely dream team: Peter Obi, the beloved former governor, paired with Kemi Badenoch, the British-Nigerian Conservative Party politician, as his running mate.
“The country go sweet dieeeee!” he exclaimed, adding with a wink, “Just make sure one naira doesn’t go missing from NNPC!”
KlintonCod’s choice of Badenoch raised eyebrows, especially after her recent comments calling her time at Federal Government Girls’ College in Sagamu “prison-like,” which didn’t sit well with everyone.
But the comedian was quick to defend her, praising her “brutal honesty” as exactly what Nigeria needs.
“I haven’t seen one solid reason why people dislike Kemi Badenoch,” he argued. “She’s just too real, and her truth shines a light on Nigeria’s tough spots.”
To drive his point home, KlintonCod got candid about his own boarding school days in Nigeria, painting a wild picture: “Students were out here fighting with machetes! Seniors whipped juniors with cutlasses, and cult clashes lit up the night.
Your provisions from home? Yeah, those belonged to the seniors. The only thing separating us from prisoners was mid-term breaks and holidays!”
