Nigerian comedian Sirbalo has criticized the Delta State government and Shell Petroleum for failing to provide electricity to his hometown despite the fact that crude oil drilling is constantly done in the area.
In a Facebook video, the entertainer lamented that his community has experienced an eight-year blackout, but Shell’s facilities in the same community purportedly enjoy 24-hour light supply non-stop.
“This has to stop,” Sirbalo exclaimed as he urged authorities and the oil company to take immediate action to restore electricity.
He titled the video with: “Crude oil drilling in my community and no light for eight years.”
