Consolidated Hallmark Insurance Plc has announced the appointment of Mr. Tope Ilesanmi as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of CHI Life Assurance Limited. He replaces Ose Oluyanwo, the pioneer Managing Director, who has transitioned into a new strategic leadership role in the Group.
In the same development, Patience Ugboajah has been appointed Executive Director, Operations, while Bode Opadokun and Folashade Onanuga have been appointed to the company’s board as Non-Executive Directors. All appointments have been approved by the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM).
Ilesanmi, an Associate Member of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN) and the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria, has nearly 30 years’ experience in risk management, underwriting, claims administration, reinsurance, and marketing.
Patience Ugboajah, a seasoned insurance executive with more than 18 years of experience in strategy, operations, and business development, joins as Executive Director, Operations.
Bode Opadokun, former Managing Director of Sanlam General Insurance Nigeria and the Nigerian Agricultural Insurance Corporation, and Folashade Onanuga, former Director General of the Lagos State Pension Commission, are the other members of the new leadership team.
CHI Life Assurance Limited, a subsidiary of Consolidated Hallmark Holdings, was recently licensed by NAICOM to underwrite life insurance business in Nigeria with a shareholders’ fund of ₦8 billion.
