A female corps member has captured attention on social media after sharing her positive first-day experience at her Place of Primary Assignment (PPA), where she received ₦5,000 and a bottle of water from her boss.
The young woman, who goes by Mamappruim on TikTok, said her supervisor was impressed when he learned about her university background in Insurance Science and decided to welcome her with the thoughtful gesture.
In a video she posted online, she showed off the cash and water bottle, explaining: “First day @ my PPA, my boss was impressed with the course I read in the university and I was given bottle water and 5k tip.”
The corps member expressed genuine excitement about the experience, saying it made her feel proud of her field of study after a long time.
She humorously hoped the ₦5,000 might become a regular occurrence to help her manage expenses during her posting in Abuja.
“I felt so proud of my course, for the first time in a while, but hope say na everyday Una go the give me this tip make I the use am see front for this Abuja 😂😂😂… NYSC Una do me this one,” she wrote.
Her video generated various reactions from social media users, with comments ranging from playful warnings to jokes about the situation.
