Afrobeats superstar Davido has pushed back the release of his highly anticipated fifth studio album, ‘5ive’, by a month. Originally set to drop on March 15, 2025, the album will now be released on April 18, 2025. While Davido did not provide a reason for the delay, fans remain eager for the project, especially with the momentum he has built this year.
The year 2025 has started strong for Davido, who recently earned his fifth Grammy nomination at the 67th Grammy Awards for Best African Song Performance on Chris Brown’s ‘Sensational’. He is also up for five nominations, including Artist of the Year, at the upcoming 17th Headies Awards.
To build excitement for ‘5ive,’ Davido has already released two singles:
‘Awuke’ – Featuring Jamaican dancehall artist YG Marley
‘Funds’ – Featuring Chike and Odumodublvck
In a social media post announcing the album, Davido described ‘5ive’ as deeply personal, reflecting his journey, truth, and growth.
