Deji Adeyanju, the attorney to social media commentator Martins Otse, also known as Verydarkman, has responded to the recent court directive against his client amid his age-long conflict with gospel artiste Mercy Chinwo. A magistrate court issued a warrant of arrest for VDM recently over defaming Chinwo. VDM went ahead to assert that the judiciary would not gag him, and this created more argument around the case.
In a television interview, as shared by instablog9ja, Adeyanju laughed at the court ruling, dismissing the proceedings in court. He reiterated his earlier claim that he could not pay anyone anything as his client did not have the means, reaffirming that the case was like a circus. As much as Adeyanju said he would defend VDM in court, he still declined to reveal their legal approach to handling the case.
“I dont want to discuss this issue because this is not the court of law, I don’t want to reveal our strategy to the other side, we have no comment, it is a joke, it is a complete joke,” he said.
