Sean “Diddy” Combs, the 55-year-old music icon, is facing a tough road ahead after his recent conviction in New York.
Found guilty on two counts of transportation for prostitution—charges that could land him up to 10 years in prison—Diddy is now reaching out for a lifeline, hoping former President Donald Trump might grant him a presidential pardon.
But it seems that the door is all but closed.
After a high-profile trial filled with shocking allegations of abuse, Diddy was cleared of heavier charges like racketeering and sex trafficking.
Still, the guilty verdict on the prostitution-related counts has left him in a precarious spot.
His lawyer, Nicole Westmoreland, shared with CNN that Diddy’s team has been in touch with Trump’s camp, exploring the possibility of a pardon to avoid the looming sentence.
But Trump, in a recent Newsmax interview, didn’t mince words about where he stands.
Reflecting on their past, he said, “I was very friendly with him. I got along with him great, and he seemed like a nice guy.”
However, Trump added a twist, noting that Diddy was “very hostile” during his presidential campaign.
When pressed on whether he’d consider a pardon, Trump’s response was blunt: “I would say so, yeah,” signaling that Diddy shouldn’t hold his breath.
