Nigerians were surprised by a tirade from popular media personality and Big Brother Naija host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, as he took to social media to lambast internet service provider FiberOne over a three-week broadband outage.
Ebuka, widely recognized for his calm and sophisticated demeanor, took to X (formerly Twitter) in an impassioned post, tagging the company and stating:
“No explanation, no apologies. Just dead silence. Are you guys insane? @FiberOne_help @Ebuka. Three weeks and counting, and my @FOBroadband has not worked. Such fuckery!!!”**
FiberOne responded with a generic apology, stating, “We sincerely apologize for this experience. Please keep in mind that we are currently working on fixing this issue.”
The response further infuriated the TV host, who replied tersely:
“FVCK YOU AND FVCK OFF.”
The inflammatory tweet went viral within minutes, with fans astonished at the strong language used by Ebuka. Although some were in shock, many others related to his frustration, sharing similar stories of poor customer service and volatile internet in Nigeria.
FiberOne has not commented further, but the incident has again incited public discourse on the level of tech services, accountability, and growing frustration among Nigerian consumers.
