Nollywood actress, Foluke Daramola-Salako, has regretted supporting President Bola Tinubu in the 2023 elections, claiming that he has abandoned promises made before the elections.
Daramola, in a chat with Behind The Fame TV, said that she believed Tinubu’s administration would be more youth-friendly but has seen youths sidelined in key decision-making.
He didn’t follow the script. We thought it was supposed to be more for the youth. When you’re involved in something, you’ll know how things are going, whether good or bad,” she said.
The actress lamented that, like his predecessors, Tinubu removed fuel subsidies, a move which she alleged has worsened the cost of fuel and food nationwide. Even as she acknowledged Seyi Tinubu’s initiatives at engaging with the youth, she asserted that the government still falls short of enabling effective youth participation and harnessing fresh ideas for national development.
