Nollywood actress Foluke Daramola-Salako has opened up on how her own failures economically and personally were a result of backing President Bola Tinubu in the 2023 elections.
In an interview with Behind The Fame TV, Daramola-Salako shared that her political conviction lost her two ambassadorship deals amounting to ₦10 million and ₦15 million, respectively, as well as nearly losing her marriage.
“Because the truth is, whoever I was in 2023 cannot be who I’m going to be in 2027. I lost two ambassadorship deals ₦10 million, ₦15 million because of the election and the Obidient movement. I almost lost my marriage. But I voted my conscience and my choice,” she asserted.
Daramola-Salako, media assistant to the Lagos State APC 2023 presidential campaign council Performing Arts Directorate, showed that her loyalty to Tinubu remains intact. She called him a father figure who had been with her in critical moments in her life, like the wedding.
