Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen is set to be officially unveiled by Turkish giants Galatasaray this weekend, following the completion of a record-breaking €75 million transfer from Napoli. The transfer was reported by Turkish outlet Fanatik, which revealed that Galatasaray Vice President Abdullah Kavukcu is expected to travel to Italy in the coming hours to finalize the necessary paperwork. Osimhen will then be escorted to Istanbul ahead of his presentation.
The official unveiling has been scheduled for Saturday, August 2, at RAMS Park, during Galatasaray’s high-profile pre-season friendly against Laz. The 26-year-old forward, who spent the 2024/25 season on loan at Galatasaray, had a standout campaign in which 37 goals were scored and 8 assists were provided across 41 appearances. His contribution played a pivotal role in helping the club secure a historic league and cup double.
Under the terms of the deal, Galatasaray will pay €40 million upfront, with the remaining €35 million to be disbursed in installments by the end of 2026. Napoli has retained a 10% sell-on clause and included a clause preventing Osimhen’s return to Serie A for at least two years. The move ranks as one of the most expensive player exits in Napoli’s history and stands as the biggest signing in the history of Turkish football.
