Governor Adeleke Travels to U.S. for Davido and Chioma’s White Wedding

Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has gone abroad to the United States of America to attend the much-anticipated white wedding of his nephew and global music star, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido.

The white wedding, said to be taking place later in this August, is a sequel ceremony to the grand traditional wedding of the couple in Lagos in 2024 a ceremony that swept social media and captivated the entire nation with its display of love and culture.

Sources around the Adeleke family expressed that Governor Adeleke is traveling with his family members and dignitaries to be included in the private celebration. Although the date and location are not publicized, frenzy still continues among fans and in the entertainment industry.

Davido and his longtime partner, Chioma Rowland, have been Nigeria’s favorite celebrity couple. They got engaged in 2019 and welcomed their son, Ifeanyi, in 2020. Their relationship passed a great test, including the tragic loss of their son in 2022, which left them shattered and out of the limelight for a while.

Their 2024 traditional wedding in Lagos drew a VIP guest list consisting of political players, celebrities, and tycoons. The wedding was a harmonious blend of Igbo and Yoruba cultures and was highly celebrated for its classiness and cultural significance.

Davido has long referred to Chioma as “his wife,” even before their ceremonial marriages. Following the traditional wedding, he described marrying Chioma as “a dream come true.”

Governor Adeleke, who is famously close to Davido, in the past has openly supported his nephew’s professional and personal life successes. The fact that he attended the American wedding is evidence of the close family connection of the Adeleke family.
