Controversial Nollywood comedian and actor, Ijoba Lande, has spoken out on his past experience working with award-winning actress and director, Funke Akindele, admitting the paltry sum he was paid for a one-month shoot.
In a recently circulating audio tape, Ijoba Lande talked about working on a movie set at Amen Estate, where he worked for a month shooting.
He said he was driving a Lexus 350 at the time and was hopeful about the possibility.
“There was a time Funke Akindele called me for a movie production at Amen Estate and we spent one month,” he alleged.
Despite the long shoot, Lande explained that he was paid ₦90,000 for the job. In retrospect, he offered stern words of advice to aspiring actors, warning them not to idolize producers or lead actors in the industry.
“I will advise the future actors never to look up to any lead actor as God. I have learnt my lessons,” he explained.
He also added that professionalism and clarity are the name of the game, stating he now makes sure he clearly defines his fees when he enters a production.
