“I’m Tinubu’s Proud Agent” – Wike Tells Nigerians to Trust Reform Process

FCT Minister Nyesom Wike has made bold declarations about his loyalty to President Bola Tinubu, openly calling himself a “proud agent” of the current administration while urging patience with ongoing economic reforms.

Speaking Friday at the groundbreaking ceremony for Abuja’s Northern Parkway project, Wike didn’t mince words about where his allegiance lies.

The major road project will link Ring Road II to Ring Road III, marking another infrastructure push in the nation’s capital.

Wike reminded the crowd of senior officials and FCT residents that Tinubu took over a country already battered by previous administrations’ failures.

“Many Nigerians want quick fixes, but real change takes time,” he said, defending the government’s approach to long-term reforms.

The minister used the road project as evidence that progress is happening, calling such developments “visible signs of change” that prove the administration is delivering on its promises.

In a particularly striking moment, Wike said he and other cabinet members are prepared to absorb public criticism as part of their job.

“Those serving under him are ready to take the heat while delivering results,” he stated, showing unwavering support for Tinubu’s often controversial policies.

He challenged all administration officials to see themselves as “agents of change,” turning campaign promises into concrete action for ordinary Nigerians.

While acknowledging current economic hardships, Wike appealed directly to Nigerians to stick with the government through this difficult period.

He promised that results from infrastructure, security, and social welfare initiatives will become clear soon.

“The challenges we face didn’t start yesterday – they built up over several administrations,” Wike explained, asking citizens to give Tinubu’s reforms time to work.

The minister concluded with a firm commitment: “We are proud agents of Mr. President, and we will not disappoint Nigerians.”

He indicated that the Abuja projects are just the beginning of nationwide development plans.
