Nollywood star Iyabo Ojo has come out swinging against viral claims that she was arrested by the Nigerian police, calling the reports completely false and designed to cause chaos.
In a heated TikTok live session, the actress didn’t hold back her frustration, blasting those behind the rumour for spreading lies that left her fans worried sick and blowing up her phone with frantic calls.
“To all you rumour mongers spreading fake news about me, it shall not be well with you,” she fired.
“Who was arrested? Every time you people push out lies, my fans panic and start calling to check on me.”
Iyabo accused the rumour spreaders of making up stories just to drive traffic and make money off her name.
She also issued a warning, saying anyone wishing her harm was only “bringing curses upon themselves.”
The drama is unfolding against the backdrop of her legal battle with controversial social media commentator VeryDarkMan, who was recently back in court facing allegations of cyberbullying against Iyabo, Tonto Dikeh, and others.
Iyabo insists he’s been pushing false narratives online just to stay relevant.
She also addressed claims, pushed by VeryDarkMan, that she was part of some secretive WhatsApp group formed after the death of singer Mohbad.
Iyabo set the record straight, explaining the group was simply created to seek justice for the late artist, including pushing for a proper investigation, autopsy, and burial.
Making it clear she has nothing to hide, she said any petitions bearing her name were ones where she acted strictly as a witness, not someone trying to press charges or stir up trouble.
Iyabo wrapped up by urging her supporters to ignore the fake news and stay calm. She reassured everyone that she’s safe, free, and still doing her advocacy work without any issues.
