Kanye West Previews New Music in Tokyo, Teases New Album BULLY and Support for Diddy

Kanye West gave fans a sneak peek of his upcoming music during his time in Tokyo this week, showcasing new tracks and offering a glimpse of his creative process. In footage captured from a club, Kanye, along with Justin LaBoy and Jim Jones, played a few snippets of his new work from the DJ booth. One track featured his daughter, North West, rapping over Dipset’s classic “I’m Ready” beat, which seemed to earn approval from Jim Jones.

Another track, a remix of Future’s “Lil Demon” from his MIXTAPE PLUTO project, caught attention when Kanye rapped, “Come fuck my wife with me, they love to see me shining!” Meanwhile, on a remix of Future and Metro Boomin’s “Magic Don Juan” from WE DON’T TRUST YOU, Kanye appeared to express his support for Diddy by repeating, “Might just pull up to the Met Gala in some Sean John.”

These tracks are expected to appear on Kanye’s forthcoming solo album BULLY, which he’s been working on for several months. In a recent Instagram post, Kanye shared that the album will feature beats created by him personally, inspired by his daughter. He wrote, “This little girl made me love music again,” referring to North, who asked him to make beats for her. Kanye added, “I got back on the ASR Chopped up beats for her album and chopped every beat with my bare hand for BULLY.”

In a video posted to Instagram, Kanye also shared a clip of North making her own beats on an ASR-10 sampling keyboard, alongside his cousin and fellow artist Tony Williams, captioning the post “training.”

Kanye’s love for hip hop is evident, as he’s also been paying tribute to artists like Master P, whom he described as his “hero,” and shared moments of himself listening to classic tracks from Scarface and Souls of Mischief.

Fans are eager for BULLY, which Kanye has been teasing over the past few months. He’s hinted at a reunion with producer Mike Dean, his collaborator on Donda, which would mark their first collaboration since that album.

While Kanye has yet to announce a release date for BULLY, he has revealed some of its songs and even shared the cover art—an intimate black-and-white close-up of his 9-year-old son Saint, further fueling anticipation for the album.
