Reality TV personality and businesswoman Kim Kardashian voiced her salacious opinion about education, saying that she does not “believe in homework.”
During a speech at Kai Cenat’s Mafiathon 3 livestreaming session on Monday, September 1, the four-time mom who recently passed the California bar exam clarified that children need room to explore the world outside of their classroom.
“I don’t think there is homework. Seriously,” Kardashian answered. “Kids are at school all day for eight hours. When they come home, they have to do sports, have a life, hang out with their family. Homework should be left to in school.”
She also clarified that she does not mind students doing assignments, but added that such works should be under the command of the teacher and carried out within school.
“If you’re at school or working on school stuff eight hours, the last thing you want to do is walk in the door and work on a book report,” she said. “That’s something you do with your teacher. Eight hours of school work a day is sufficient.”
Kardashian also added that she has spoken about how to make learning appropriate for her own kids’ interests. Kardashian explained that one of her children dislikes school so she encourages other courses like Japanese and fashion design to make learning enjoyable.
They have to learn the basics, but if you can make it fun, it works,” she added. “One of my children is always a battle, so we look for creative ways to learn like using numbers to do design. It’s a matter of what they like.”.
