A Nigerian man raised an alarm after almost being a victim of attempted robbery by suspected ‘one chance‘ robbers in Lagos. Narrating his experience on social media, the artist revealed that he got very close to being a victim of the notorious scam while commuting in and around Jabi in Berger, Lagos State.
He also shared the details of the car, requesting people to be extra careful.
“I just ran away from ‘one chance’ guys,” he tweeted on X (formerly Twitter). “There’s a black Corolla with number plate WAM-178-SH, traveling from Jabi to Berger.”
Providing the description of the occupants in the vehicle, he went on to say, “The driver is fair, with a man in front and a woman with a child behind.”
He explained that he felt suspicious following observations of peculiar behavior from the passengers.
“You have to understand how they kept calling me back into the car when I knew something was not right—including the woman.”
The occurrence has elicited reactions on the internet, with most of the users posting their experiences and cautioning others to listen to their intuition while commuting on public means.
