Actress Yvonne Jegede has set social media ablaze after sharing intimate photos from a movie date with an unidentified man.
The Nollywood star posted clips on Instagram showing the two holding hands during what looked like a private cinema screening. “Movie date night.
Getting the entire cinema for me to set the record is wild,” she captioned one of the posts.
It’s the first time Yvonne has publicly hinted at romance since her 2019 split from actor-rapper Olakunle ‘Abounce’ Fawole.
The couple divorced just a year after their wedding, with Yvonne later revealing she had been the main breadwinner and citing financial strain and lack of respect as key factors in their separation.
The timing of her date night is particularly interesting. Just weeks ago, Yvonne made waves by addressing domestic violence in the entertainment industry.
She publicly urged fellow actress Regina Daniels to leave her marriage to Ned Nwoko if abuse allegations were true.
“Once violence is inside a relationship, I will not sugarcoat it, carry your bag and leave,” Yvonne said in a passionate video.
She also criticized those ridiculing Regina instead of supporting her, stressing that safety and mental health matter more than public opinion.
