The NOUN management has approved the appointment of Professor Shehu Adamu as Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Administration and Professor Christine Ofulue as Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Technology, Innovation and Research.
The appointments were affirmed in two separate letters dated September 5, 2025, and signed on behalf of the Registrar and Secretary to Council, Mr. Oladipo A. Ajayi.
His appointment was in line with his election by the University Senate during its 112th Regular Meeting of August 28, 2025, and subsequent approval by the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council.
“As Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Administration, you will be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor and will be tasked with the duty of assisting him in the day-to-day running of the university, with emphasis on providing leadership in administrative governance and institutional management towards facilitating the progress of the university’s strategic goals,” reads the letter.

In the same vein, Prof. Ofulue’s Deputy Vice-Chancellorship (Technology, Innovation and Research) was also by virtue of her election and approval by the University Governing Council.
The two appointments reflect NOUN’s determination to enhance academic leadership and promote innovation within its administrative and research structures.
