Veteran actress and activist Hilda Dokubo has weighed in on a viral video showing a member of the House of Representatives struggling to express himself during a plenary session.
In the video, the unnamed lawmaker appeared to fumble while attempting to move a motion to rescind a previous decision.
He struggled to find the right words, prompting the Deputy Speaker, Benjamin Kalu, to step in and guide him through the process.
Reacting to the clip, which has sparked conversation online, Dokubo posted it on her page with a sarcastic caption, highlighting her frustration with the level of articulation displayed by some elected officials.
“Can we all give him a big round of applause. Kai! Can you all see why they don’t speak? Why those of us who can speak, annoy them?” she wrote.
“See what a member of the House of Representatives is doing to his people. Let me go and sleep, bikonu.”
