The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced that Corps Members of the 2024 Batch C, Stream II will officially pass out on Thursday, December 18, 2025.

In a statement on Tuesday, the NYSC Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, said the event will be a low-key ceremony, with Certificates of National Service to be issued to Corps Members at their respective local government areas.

Leading up to the Passing-Out Parade (POP), Corps Members will take part in Job Advisory and Counselling sessions organised by the Scheme and its partner agencies. They will also complete their final clearance with Zonal Inspectors.

“The NYSC Director-General, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, wishes the Corps Members a successful winding-up and passing-out exercise,” the statement read.

The Scheme also urged outgoing Corps Members to uphold NYSC’s core values as they transition into the next phase of their lives, reminding them to remain good ambassadors of the programme.

Since its establishment in 1973, the NYSC has served as a mandatory one-year programme for Nigerian graduates below 30, aimed at strengthening national unity and fostering development. The service year features a three-week orientation camp, primary assignment, and community development service.

During the orientation period, Corps Members undergo paramilitary drills, leadership and entrepreneurship training through the SAED programme, and activities that enhance national integration. They are later deployed to Places of Primary Assignment in sectors such as education, health, and agriculture, where they contribute to community growth.
