The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, on Sunday visited the Olubadan-designate, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, at his palace on Ondo Street, Bodija, Ibadan.
Oba Ogunwusi, accompanied by his entourage, was warmly received by the Olubadan-designate before he was installed as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.
Installation ceremonies start this week, culminating on Oba Ladoja’s installation on Friday, September 26, 2025.
The former governor of Oyo State assumed the position of Olubadan following the death of his predecessor, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, on July 7, 2025, aged 90.
President Bola Tinubu is also taking a high-ranking delegation of personalities to the historic coronation, which will generate a mass turnout in the Oyo State capital. Over 2,000 security men are being sent to ensure peace and order for the ceremony.
