An Oyo State High Court has granted bail of N10 million to Naomi Silekunola, the former queen of the Ooni of Ife, in connection with the deadly stampede in Ibadan.
The bail also extends to Oriyomi Hamzat, an Ibadan-based media personality, and Abdulahi Fasasi, the Principal of Islamic High School. The three are facing charges of murder, manslaughter, and criminal negligence following the tragic incident on December 18, 2024, that resulted in the deaths of 35 children.
