A photo of Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, cheering on the Super Falcons from her kitchen during their thrilling WAFCON final has set social media abuzz.
Shared by APC member DeeOneAyekooto, the snapshot captures Mrs. Tinubu glued to the TV in a sleek, modern kitchen, watching the Falcons’ heart-pounding 3-2 comeback win against Morocco on July 27, 2025, at Casablanca’s Mohammed V Stadium.
The victory handed Nigeria the WAFCON crown, and the First Lady’s kitchen-side support was meant to show her down-to-earth pride in the team.
But not everyone’s buying the cozy vibe. Nigerians online have had a field day with the image, dishing out a mix of humor, shade, and skepticism.
Da Smog wasn’t impressed, saying, “So now we watch TV in the kitchen? If she was cooking and watching, I’d get it—but this feels like a show-off moment.”
Valentine Omoh took a playful jab: “She’s in the kitchen, not the ‘other room,’ ‘cause baba’s not up for that anymore.”
Gulu went full satire: “Next thing, our First Lady’s teaming up with Sabinus for skits—splashing 100k while folks out here can’t afford a proper meal.”
Boy Trimices chimed in, “Kitchen? Nah, she belongs in the other room.”
