Reality TV star Phyna has criticized Dangote Group‘s official response to her sister’s accident with one of the company’s trucks, calling their statement insensitive given the severity of her sister’s injuries.
The Big Brother Naija winner, whose real name is Ijeoma Otabor, had earlier accused the company and billionaire Aliko Dangote of attempting a cover-up.
She claimed police removed the truck’s license plate on the company’s orders after the vehicle hit her sister.
Dangote Group released a statement promising “full medical care” and “appropriate compensation” for the victim, while wishing her a speedy recovery and reaffirming their commitment to her well-being.
However, Phyna found the company’s response inappropriate, revealing that her sister’s leg has already been amputated.
She questioned what the company meant by “speedy recovery” and “appropriate compensation” in light of this devastating injury.
“Appropriate compensation? Quick recovery from an already amputated leg? What necessary speed are you taking right now?” Phyna wrote in her response.
She also reminded the public about another victim – a motorcycle rider who remains in critical condition following the same incident.
